Precious Metals & Materials

Riley Watson's jewelry represents the epitome of craftsmanship. Every piece, whether made of gold or silver, reflects an unparalleled combination of elegance and longevity.

We carefully select top-notch materials for our designs to guarantee a luxurious final product. Our collection, ranging from diamond-encrusted creations to sleek metal designs, embodies timeless beauty.

Vermeil refers to Solid Sterling Silver that has been plated with a layer of 18ct. gold through a process called micron plating. Micron plating involves electrolysis, making it the most resilient form of gold plating. For an item to be classified as vermeil, the gold layer must be at least 2.5 micrometers thick.

Gold filled is a finishing technique where a layer of pure gold is bonded to the core metal through a process of pressure bonding. It's important to note that gold filled should not be mistaken for gold plated or vermeil, as gold filled items have a thickness that is 5 to 10 times greater than gold plated items. Gold filled jewelry is both highly valuable and resistant to tarnishing, which means it won't flake off, rub off, or change color over time.

At Riley Watson, we exclusively utilize ethically sourced pearls in our creations. Since they are natural, each pearl is unique, and we carefully select only the finest ones when handcrafting our pieces. We do not incorporate synthetic pearls into our jewelry, ensuring that every item is adorned with genuine, natural pearls.
